Start the Season Strong

Your pitch needs the same care and preparation as your players. Good nutrition, rest, and rotation are key to maintaining quality throughout the season.

Pitch Rotation:

1.    If possible, rotate between pitches to avoid overuse
2.    If you only have one pitch, focus on managing wear and tear.

Smart Use of Playing Areas:

1.    Protect the penalty area
       a.    If you have portable goals, use these for drills on the touchline
       b.    Run training sessions in the corners and rotate these around the pitch to spread the wear.
2.    Vary warm-up zones on matchdays
       a.    Prevent repeated wear in one spot by rotating warm-up areas.
3.    Get everyone on board
       a.    Share these practices with coaches, players, and ground staff.

Keep Accurate Records:

1.    Log pitch use to monitor high-wear zones.
2.    Track maintenance tasks to refine your approach over time.
3.    Record rainfall and weather patterns to prepare for future conditions.
